The first version of Hashrate.no launched back in 2021. Since then, we’ve learned a lot—and now we’re proud to unveil a complete overhaul of the site. From a fresh new look to major backend improvements, this upgrade reflects the knowledge and experience we've gained over the past few years.
When Hashrate.no was first launched, it focused on two core features: overclocking examples for GPUs (primarily for mining Ethash) and a miner command-line wizard. With the complete overhaul we're calling Hashrate V2, the site has not only been significantly improved but also expanded with new features and more comprehensive information than ever before.
What's new
Modernized Design
A fresh new interface for a cleaner, faster, and more user-friendly experience.
Improved Performance
Backend caching has been reworked for faster load times and better performance under high traffic.
New Hosting Section
A dedicated section for GPU rentals—whether you're a renter or a provider.
FPGA Expansion
We've updated the FPGA section to include all Osprey variants.
DePIN Section Added
Currently featuring Geodnet, with more decentralized physical infrastructure networks to follow.
Upgraded Calculators
The GPU and CPU calculators now include system wattage and PSU efficiency, providing more accurate and realistic estimates.
Smarter Logic Handling
We've overhauled the system logic to support dynamic unit changes (e.g., MH to GH) as algorithms shift from GPUs to FPGAs or ASICs.
Consistent Estimate Display
Device pages (like /gpus) now show the same estimates as individual device pages (like /gpus/5090). Previously, we filtered out low-volume/emission coins on the device list but displayed them with warnings on the individual page. Now, we've introduced a hard threshold: coins with less than $100 in daily emissions or $1000 in trading volume won’t display estimates. These coins are still available at /coins.
Updated API
Several new API endpoints have been added. If you're using our API, please update your integration. The legacy API will remain active for a few more months.
Community Submissions
You can now submit benchmarks for coins even if they don’t already have one listed. Use the new Submit Information section (currently best viewed on desktop).
Coin & Pool Requests
Requests for adding coins, pools, or benchmarks can now be made at /submit.
Account-Based Power Settings
Users can now set system wattage and PSU efficiency for their rigs under their account settings.
Reworked Calculator Interface
The calculator has been redesigned from the ground up to offer a much smoother and more intuitive experience.
Old site
For a limited time—likely a couple of months—the old site will remain accessible at
old.hashrate.no. Please note that it will no longer receive updates, including new benchmarks.
The legacy API will also remain active during this transition period but will eventually be phased out. We strongly recommend switching to the new API as soon as possible to ensure continued access to the latest features and data.
Run-in periode
We’ve put a lot of effort into building Hashrate V2, but with such a major overhaul, there’s always a chance that something was missed or isn’t working as expected. If you come across any bugs, issues, or even just have suggestions for improvements, we’d love to hear from you.
You can reach out to us directly on Discord or Telegram—your feedback helps us make the platform even better for everyone.
Conclusion
With the launch of Hashrate V2, we want to take a moment to say thank you to everyone who’s been part of the journey since our initial release in 2021. Your support, feedback, and enthusiasm have played a big role in getting us to where we are today.
This new version is just the beginning of the next chapter—we’re committed to continuously improving the site, expanding the content, and refining the tools almost daily. We’re excited about what’s ahead and look forward to many more years of growing and evolving together with the community.
